Yes, celebrities are like us in that they have feeling just like everyone else, so they should be supported and prayed for just like everyone else.

So what makes them sparkle and shine like the stars they are?  Access to the Public!  They are seen and heard whether the message is good or bad.

So far, these are the guys {and girl} of 2008.  They all possess a poignancy, charisma and vulnerability that draw them to the hearts of their fellow man (or woman).  Fans, help me pray for them, O.K?  These young men (and woman) have souls.

This group of people has their weaknesses and strengths, but God knows the heart and he has allowed me a glimpse into their lives.  I like to think of them as prospective Christians [those who haven’t committed yet]; a small, compact, hard-core army; efficient and pressing toward the mark.

This group is my troop!

Mic 5:1

Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops:

Ryan Sheckler:One of the Good Ones!

Just when you thought society was completely going to pot, a bright star shines!

Recently, I saw an article in ‘Dub Magazine’ about Ryan Sheckler.  I was just what an up-to- date, informative and fun article should be.

I liked the cool, smooth way Mr. Sheckler answered all of the questions like a real pro.  It lets us know that the true spirit of the young man is not dead!

Keep up the good work Ryan!

A Young Man at “The CrossRoads”

He’s coming to my home town of Nassau, Bahamas.  What crossed my mind as I heard this news?  Mixed emotions.  So I went to my Bible and this is what it turned to:

http://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/Act/Act020.html#9

Act 20:9   And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.

Act 20:10   And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing [him] said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.

Act 20:11   When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.

Act 20:12   And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted.

Why did he come to mind?  I dont know.  How does this pertain to him.  Don’t know that either; but this much I can say, no one is unlovec by God, The Bahamas is a Christian, praying nation and if the message is going to him this early from a Bahamian to him, well, here it is!  Strange, but somehow I feel sorry for him.  Especially in this picture here:

www.kalamu.com/…/

He looks vulnerable. Had a friend who, reportedly, was killed back in 2003.  He really went for bad!  Violence, drugs, the works!  He disgusted me, but when I heard the news I almost feel to pieces…so did alot of other people.  Some one get this to him, Ok?  Thanks!

My, How Things Change!

Does anyone remember Caroline Miller? She was the editor-in-chief in 1995 for the top teen magazine in the U.S. I’m bringing her up because…well…I miss her writing!

I believe in progress and development, but I must admit that things have changed in the journalism department for a lot of teen and young woman‘s magazines; and not always for the best!

I have been purchasing magazines of this type from the late 80’s to present date. For the sake of nostalgia I decided to look at a 1995 teen magazine (not the name, just the genre) then I compared it with an up to date version. The difference made me comprehend why the grade point average of so many teens in so many schools have gone down so badly.

The old magazine had 7 really great articles! They were funny, informative, inspirational and thought provoking. The health pages gave you something to chew on and the fashion pages contained paragraphs with language so descriptive and pictures so colorful it made you feel like catching the next flight to Hawaii just to buy a lei!

These article, features and other departments were written by intelligent and fascinating teens and adults who knew how to write! You got a tingling sensation when you picked it up and you KNEW you were getting your money’s worth. The magazines back then had stuff you could READ!

By comparison, I picked up the same magazine (12 years ahead) which had 4 and one quarter stories (only two of which were really saying something) with tons and tons and tons of clothes, jewelry, make-up, hair care, etc…it gave me the impression that it is what you wear that counts these days and not who you are, which is what the older magazines instilled. Their clothes article corresponded with what they said.

Not to mention the fact that along with article geared toward teaching abstinence and safe sex, the old magazines at least gave the impression that sex among teen was not a foregone conclusion. These days, they are writing articles which lean more toward and make it appear that the majority of teens are having sex!

To add insult to injury, it had the same ‘filler’ (not word for word, but with the same idea) on sex health that it had several months ago! Maybe that’s the point.

Don’t get me wrong! The lay out of the new magazine was fantastic, but it left me rather empty. It gave me the feeling of that’s it…that’s all there is to this?’

I am letting you know that I submitted queries to some of these (along with some Christian magazine, no encouragement there, some responses were down right rude) magazines and, in a way, I am glad they didn’t accept. The most recent purchase worthy issue of the magazine I mentioned was the one I bought this month and the first I bought in a long, long, long time!

I know you can’t bring back the old days, but when since had creativity, wit and intelligence become archaic? Are they saying that today’s teen and young adults don’t need encouragement from good reading the way they did ten years ago?

Note to all you young aspiring journalist: if you want to write good articles read classics as well as modern literature. It enhances writing and communication skills and aids in self expression if you ever have to write about your own experiences.

Good Woman vs Bad Woman

GoodWoman

Bad Woman

http://christianforums.com/showthread.php?t=7247716

Through out the Bible, many women are spokent about, written about and made and example for women of present date.
Here are some scriptures to let you know the difference between a Good woman and a Bad woman.  That’s putting it pretty bluntly, but that is the way it is!
Good Woman

Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?

Pro 8:2 She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.

Pro 8:3 She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.

Pro 8:4 Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice [is] to the sons of man.

Pro 8:5 O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.

Pro 8:6 Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips [shall be] right things.

Pro 8:7 For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness [is] an abomination to my lips.

Pro 8:8 All the words of my mouth [are] in righteousness; [there is] nothing froward or perverse in them.

Pro 8:9 They [are] all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.

Pro 8:10 Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.

Pro 8:11 For wisdom [is] better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

Pro 8:12 ¶ I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.

Pro 8:13 The fear of the LORD [is] to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Pro 8:14 Counsel [is] mine, and sound wisdom: I [am] understanding; I have strength.

Pro 8:15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.

Pro 8:16 By me princes rule, and nobles, [even] all the judges of the earth.

Pro 8:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

Pro 8:18 Riches and honour [are] with me; [yea], durable riches and righteousness.

Pro 8:19 My fruit [is] better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.

Pro 8:20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:

Pro 8:21 That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

Pro 8:22 ¶ The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.

Pro 8:23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

Pro 8:24 When [there were] no depths, I was brought forth; when [there were] no fountains abounding with water.

Pro 8:25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:

Pro 8:26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.

Pro 8:27 When he prepared the heavens, I [was] there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:

Pro 8:28 When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:

Pro 8:29 When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:

Pro 8:30 Then I was by him, [as] one brought up [with him]: and I was daily [his] delight, rejoicing always before him;

Pro 8:31 Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights [were] with the sons of men.

Pro 8:32 ¶ Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed [are they that] keep my ways.

Pro 8:33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.

Pro 8:34 Blessed [is] the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

Pro 8:35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.

Pro 8:36 But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

 Bad Woman

My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.

Pro 7:2 Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.

Pro 7:3 Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.

Pro 7:4 Say unto wisdom, Thou [art] my sister; and call understanding [thy] kinswoman:

Pro 7:5 That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger [which] flattereth with her words.

Pro 7:6 ¶ For at the window of my house I looked through my casement,

Pro 7:7 And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,

Pro 7:8 Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house,

Pro 7:9 In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night:

Pro 7:10 And, behold, there met him a woman [with] the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.

Pro 7:11 (She [is] loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house:

Pro 7:12 Now [is she] without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)

Pro 7:13 So she caught him, and kissed him, [and] with an impudent face said unto him,

Pro 7:14 [I have] peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows.

Pro 7:15 Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.

Pro 7:16 I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved [works], with fine linen of Egypt.

Pro 7:17 I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.

Pro 7:18 Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves.

Pro 7:19 For the goodman [is] not at home, he is gone a long journey:

Pro 7:20 He hath taken a bag of money with him, [and] will come home at the day appointed.

Pro 7:21 With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him.

Pro 7:22 He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;

Pro 7:23 Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it [is] for his life.

Pro 7:24 ¶ Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.

Pro 7:25 Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.

Pro 7:26 For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong [men] have been slain by her.

Pro 7:27 Her house [is] the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.

Don’t let the package fool you!  The Bible says, by their fruits ye shall know them!  Know what you are getting into!  That goes for the women too!

The Bloody Wolf Boys

These days teens and young people have it pretty tough, but some of the goings on of the past make today’s issues look like child’s play.  Read this:
Romulus and Remus
www.wilsonsalmanac.com/romulus_remus.html

They mythology of the Romans taught that the empire began with two orphaned boys named Romulus and Remus, who were nurtured by a she-wolf.  Their importance to the early Romans was observed by a national day of “purification”, associated with the “wolf” (Latin lupis) that preserved their lives.

Each year on their February 15, a purification festival was held which was called “Lupercalia”, or wolf festival.  2 youths (who represented Romulus and Remus) ran around the city in the nude, laughing and whipping around strips of wolf skins, dipped in blood.

Unmarried girls exposed their posteriors to be lashed with these bloody wolf hides, supposedly to imbue fertility.  As part of the ritual, every eligible girl’s name was collected and placed in a large “vat” or jar, and all the young men would ‘draw’ a name from it.  This gives us the phrase ‘luck of the draw’.  Whatever name a young man would draw out, that girl would be hsi consort in the festival.  This was a very solemn religious process.

“Lupercalia” was changed into “Valentine’s Day” and moved to the 14th after being ‘Christianized’.  Instead of having nothing to do with the idolatry, it was simply altered slightly adn adapted to the new ‘universal’ religion.  This is where we inherit the custom of ‘Valentine’s Cards’, and HEART SHAPED symbols.

The shape of the heart is an IVY LEAF, the symbol of Bacchus, the male deity of wine and love (orgiastic).  He corresponds to Nimrod and Tammuz, and also the archer, Saggitarius or ‘Cupid’.  Another name for him is Orion, the hunter.  The arrow penetrating the ‘heart’ symbol represented mating.  Bacchus is seen in art wearing a wreath of ivy leaves on his head during his mating rituals.

Rome is established on seven ‘hills’, and each was originally named by the Etruscans.  There were settlements on six of these, but the seventh hill was a boggy swampy place, where the soil was loose.  The Etruscans buried their dead there for centuries.  Because the graves were shallow, dogs would often go there to dig up and feed on the dead bodies!

The Etruscans named this hill VATICANUS, meaning habitation of dogs.  Later, a Roman ruler named Caligula drained this site, and held enormously popular ‘carnivals’ (Latin for flesh raising).  Caligula was a devotee of Bacchus, and held orgies and drunked parites on a regular basis.

The obelisk of Caligula stands today in the center of the chariot wheel design in front of St. Peter’s Cathedral (previous page).  The Vatican stands on the same hill where the Etruscans buried their dead, so it is an enormous graveyard.  The tunnels beneath the Vatican have entire walls made of human bones in certain places.

Fossilized Customs 2nd Edition by Lew White p. 42

After reading this I think, it’s high time we do as Mr.  White suggested and get out our.  Dictionaries and Encyclopedias and do some hard-core research.

During R and R’s dirty escapades, Jeremiah and Josiah were two young men who up-and-coming.

 www.goodallartists.ca/images2.htm
Jeremiah (age 20) was called by God to be a prophet and to preach.  King Josiah was 21 at the time. The were very good friends, which was a blessing for Jeremiah.

The book of Jeremiah is not only a relation of the word of God coming to pass against the rebellious nation of Israel, but also a heart-felt narrative fo the personal spirital struggles of Jeremiah during his mission.

Jeremiah started out as a shy, introverted and sensitive young man who needed love and support just like everyone else. God told him his misson as a prophet would be so intense, that he would have to follow a strict order:
No marriage
No parties
No attending feasts or festivals.

After that, Jeremiah wished that he was never born!  But God told him to try and have a positive outlook.

After Josiah died, things got rough for Jeremiah because the next king was not obedient to God’s will.  The Israelites started following behind the paganistic life style of the heathen (bottom, baring girls like the ones I mentioned above).

http://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/Jer/Jer044.html#17

With prayers, tears and pleading Jeremiah preached to the wayward children of Israel so much to the extent that, eventually, he was thrown out of the temple.

So Isreal didn’t listen and they were captured, then led into captivity, and the captivity lasted until Jeremiah was in his 80’s.

Ray J: Past and Present

My mind ran across you a few times during the past month. I finally asked God about you. I said, ‘God, what’s up with Ray-J?’ This is the answer I got.

II Timothy 3;14-17

14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and has been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them.

15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the MAN of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

This gave me a flashback fo your life that took me back to the time you were on the Sinbad ( I tried to see them all)show and you sang that gospel song so beautifully. The flashback went on to your acting stint on ‘Moesha’, where you added Charisma and spice! then on to the Christmas movie with Keisha Knight Pulliam; in everyone you exuded a character people would like to see.

I heard you were going through some issues and I just wanted to give you this message of encouragement because:

1 God loves and cares for you

2 I like you and admire you with the type of fondness I have for a cousin, or guy friend I grew up with. It’s like I knew you all my life. YOU know what I mean! It’s t

hat family-type thing.

To know more about me, feel free to view my websites:

http://questforfulfillment.page.tl

http://happy4life.wordpress.com

I wrote all this on the spur of the moment by the way, straight from the heart, as the spirit of God lead me.

You’ve grown to be a quietly dignified man with power and presence.

Just before I sign out, I just want you to know that I understand about the bad spiritual vibrations which surrounded your sister and that car accident tragedy. It wasn’t her fault, but someone else is responsible for the evil vibrations that she got caught up in. I would like to share more, but this is not the place for it. If you, or Brandy contacted me concerning this I could give you some answers. NO! I am not a psychic! I am a Christian and if you would like to know more about me just check out my website.

Perhaps you can gain insight on what I am trying to say for yourself when you view the site. Good by and God bless.

God bless you!
